Introduction The use of the internet to administer psychological tests has greatly reduced costs and increased efficiency. The savings can amount to almost 80% of hard and soft recruiting costs for large organizations with widespread recruiting requirements. That increases profits more than any single tactic available to management today. The Aptitude Inventory (AI) is one of the best tests possible for this application.
The AI has had a long history of development and evaluation. The basic research from which the test was developed started in the early fifties while the author was employed as a Research Psychologist at Procter & Gamble. Since then, the test has undergone three major revisions. At every opportunity the results have been checked against job performance of examinees. The most recent updates increase the odds that you will hire people who will be successful in the high tech, "dot.com" positions and organizations.
Today, thousands of people are tested each year in the US and Canada. There is no way to tell how many major corporations have benefited from the use of these tests, but they include such companies as General Motors, Pella Windows, DuBois Chemical, Pittsburgh Plate Glass, Weinberg Capital, Johnson & Johnson, University Hospitals, The Garland Company, Hawk Corporation, and many more.
Here is what some have said about the tests:
"I am a satisfied customer."
Alan Cassidy, President, The James A. Cassidy Company (Pella)
Beltsville MD.
"I believe we built one of the finest, if not the finest, sales organizations in the entire industry." Blaine Evans, V.P. Marketing, Abitibi-Price Corporation
Troy, MI.
"The Aptitude Inventory accurately forecasted the rated performance of supervisors on attitude, motivation, overall value, communication with superiors, and ability to produce results."
Howard Lockwood, PhD, Lockheed Corp.
St. Louis, MO.
"We have made a lot of money off of you."
Ron Weinberg, Chairman, Weinberg Capital
Cleveland, OH.
