Benefits from the Use of the Aptitude Inventory

The following chart provides the best indication of what is possible with care and thoroughness applied to staffing problems. These data are based on 1985 sales results from a manufacturer of very high quality wood windows and doors. Products are sold throughout the US and Canada through distributors, among whom six used our tests consistently in their hiring process.

The people chosen by the manufacturer to be in the Inner Circle were the most productive of all salesman, and were invited to got to Scottsdale for a "convention."

The chart shows that while working with under 10% of the total number of distributors, and hiring less than 20% of the total of all sales personnel, our high scoring salesmen performed in an outstanding manner and represented 83% of the total who were given special recognition by the Manufacturer. Thus, use of the AI increased the odds of hiring a top performing sales person by a factor of about five-to-one. This is where you get the payoff for any investment in hiring the most talented people you can find.

These and similar results have been consistently achieved with all organizations, large and small, at all job levels, in all settings since 1955. The power of the AI to make a right selection increases for higher level jobs – technical, sales, professional, and managerial.
